Some ideas and ideas to follow the paths and itineraries of the Colli Bolognesi riding a bike, between history, food and wine and ancient traditions.

La Piccola Cassia, recently rediscovered and made passable, winds along a stretch of the Apennines that the Romans already used. In the early Middle Ages it became a Lombard road, therefore one of the many itineraries that led to Rome, joining the Via Francigena. Going south it is a suggestive path, full of many historical-religious testimonies (Rocca di Bazzano, Abbey of Monteveglio, Castello di Serravalle and S. Apollinare, Badia, Bombiana, and many other historic towns and villages) and characterized by a landscape rural and natural very interesting. Following this itinerary you can savor the excellence of the territory : we are in fact in the lands of Parmigiano Reggiano, typical Modena and Bolognese salami, Pignoletto and many mountain specialties (see also Typical products page ).
